Uses of a weighbridge
Weighbridges are used for industrial uses where heavy loads have to be measured.
Government officials use weighbridges to determine whether vehicles are following the guideline for roads or are overloaded.
A weighing bridge is used for measuring the weight of goods before the vehicles are loaded and the customers are charged according to the weight of the load supplied.
The inspecting entities also use weighbridges to check whether the truck is carrying its load in accordance with the weight limits pre-established in the legislation for road vehicles. They are also used to inspect the volumes received and shipped from the facilities, such as waste treatment or solid waste recycling centres, construction sites, among others.
